I thought he didn’t come up with relativity until after we left Germany for the states shortly before WWII. But I checked and your right, 1905.
There are a lot of interesting facts about Einstein. He was never able to explain particle random movements and we stil can’t today. He also advocated a world government. Wasn’t allowed to work on the manhattan project, he was deemed a security risk being from EuropeLepton1 Thanks this. -
It was my reading about Einstein that first brought me to the concept of "thought experiment". It was through thought experiment he came up with the foundation of the theory of relativity, the famous "two people on a train" thought experiment. As a patent clerk he was handling patents for clocks and how to keep trains on a precise schedule.TravR1 Thanks this.
