I grew up listening to AM radio with an earphone. Stations like WSM and one in Ohio I forgot it's call letters. At night FCC regulations mandated general AM stations shut down. Then the "Clear Channel" AM stations jacked up their power. Great times. You can still do this today.
What do you Listen to on the Road?

(I kid I kid!) I won't try to change your mind, nor do I wish a debate on it, cause music is subjective...some enjoy listening to talking heads ##### about the world an how bad it is, some like stock tips, some like Howard Stern an other "Shock Jocks".
Far as rap goes...it's far more then the crap you hear on the radio. A lot of the good stuff never makes the radio, an it's always been that way. Not everything is trash talking. Just like not all country music is about someones wife leaving, dog dying, or all rock satanic.
An despite my joking above, I do enjoy some talk radio. Just not all the time. An...far as best morning shows..again...subjective. Good thing with the internet though and cell phones...you can pretty much get whatever show you like no matter where you are in the world. I heart radio and many others make that far easier these days.
Personally...I prefer rock . The devil's music...since you know, according to everyone old it's not really music, just a buncha long haired hippies who can't carry a tune in a bucket that will have me on a path straight for hell.
It's all good though, there's a musical style for everyone out there. An thank god for that...I like variety in my life. Boring just eating strawberry ice cream all the time.

I remember listening to this during my last year in the Air Force. I actually liked it, and still do.

Saw them live. Good show. Same weekend I saw Joan Jett.
It was a very good weekend.
Old school hip hop is far from today's.
It's the censored(Badly) version. Just went with teh first I found. The uncensored has one or two words not pc these days. It's not full of cussing or swearing though.

I grew up listening to
Montrose
Robin Trower
Van Halen
Black Sabbath
Cheap Trick
Journey
And still crank it up today, lol.
But I also like
Actual country music , not the crap they try and pass of as country now.
it's nothing but tinie bopper pop music now with lame lyrics.
Nashville should be burnt down.
Also Motown! which is no longer produced unfortunately.
Also old jazz I really enjoy
Art Pepper
Felonious Mink
Stan Getz
Charlie Hayden
And the list goes on lol.Last edited: Aug 30, 2018
