What do you the "other" 14 hours a day?

you run 11 hours. u got a 14 hour window. you sleep the rest. eat, shower, laundry. you got to sleep at least 8-10 hours so think about it

 

and you dont have to sit for all the 14, you only have to have a 10 hour break and you can start all over ^.^
so in a 24 hr period you can technically drive 14

 

i drive 14 hours a day. and use an 8/2 split DURING the day. SLEEPING.

ain't nobody got time for eats, showers, pee, and what not.

 

A work period can consist of 14 hours from the time you start, maximum 11 driving, the other 3 hours are often consumed with vehicle inspections, loading/unloading, fueling, waiting for dispatch, meal stops, etc. The remaining 10+ hours are yours

 

I sleep 4-5 hours. Bored the rest.

 

What i see at truck stops..I see alot of Morbid Obese Drivers laying around doing nothing.Some will sit in the drivers chair and look out the winder,wondering how they got roped into this crap...Many will go into the TV Lounge and hang out there.That is very tough though.If you can get through the smell and the sweat dripping from the drivers,you got it made..

I see some that will never shower or wash there ###.They smell very bad and have bugers stains on there shirts.I see some that stay in the ''Buffet'' indulging in hours and hours of relentless chowing down..I even see some with womans clothing on cruising the pickle park..

On occassion i see a healthy drivers walking and running,using his/her time wisely.That is very very rare..Depending on the truck stop i see drivers going to the Adult Book Store.I do not even want to know what they do in there..(Youngstown Oh TA)..With all this B/S of not wanting drivers to drop the trailer or ''bobtail'',i see many drivers walking on the highways like drifters trying to find an Aldi or Save a Lot..Pretty unsafe and pathetic...

Some of the child like drivers stay in there truck for the 10 hours and watch movies and play X-Box.Some watch gay porn and others watch star trek..We can't forget about the treckers......

All in all it sucks and the HOS Rules suck to..Truck stops have nothing good or fun to do..Even if they did truckers still stay in there cacoon and there homeless shelters on wheels doing NOTHING...

Now if you ask the question''what we used to do''.You would see how fun and how we all had a great time in ''party row''...Back then truck stops were the ####..Today they are just resting spots for boring people....

 

Landstar if it sucks so bad why do you do it? Why do all truckers do it? All I read on here is doom and gloom. If it is so bad and sucks so bad why put yourself through it?

 

Oh cool i didnt know there was a bookstore up there ill have to check it out next time im up there.
