Absolutely not, I've chassis where the parking brakes held just fine, release them and hit the trolley valve only to find out that they're is an air leak or some other issue.

From the parking brakes to the service brakes. I guess the best way to explain the difference is to look at a car. Most cars will have disc brakes. But many cars will use old school brake drums on the rear axle for parking/emergency brakes. Just as the old brake drum parking brakes on a car have nowhere the power of the disc brakes, the spring brakes of a big rig will only have 40% of the stopping power of the air brakes.

Brakes are one of those things that you should learn how to repair. Or at the very least, learn how to bandaid so you can get to a repair shop. A roadside repair can cost you serious money when there’s absolutely no need.

A lot of cars with disc brakes at all 4 corners will use a drum brake inside the rear discs as the parking brake

I've got 2 trolley valves on my winch tractor. one for the trailer, and one for the drives.

I drove for mega-carriers for all of my career up to two months ago. The mega-carriers usually don't have trolley valves in their trucks. I've heard that the reason is that they don't trust the new drivers with trolley valves. None of the trucks I drove in my career up to now had a trolley valve.

I switched companies to a small trucking company. Now I drive a day cab with a trolley valve in it. What do you use a trolley valve for? Is there anything that you can do with a trolley valve that you cannot do if you just have the yellow brake valve and the red brake valve without a trolley valve?

I use it to hang the dirty old mask I still carry around,.. for retarded customers that still require them
