I'm a veteran local driver, just new to OTR/Regional etc. I am seeing a lot of ads that claim "consistent lanes". What does this mean? Thanks a million!

I seem to make a lot of loads from Minneapolis to Chicago. (along with 10,000 other trucks a day). That is a consistent lane.
-
Consistent lanes means you run these routes often. Other drivers chime in on this one. I guess I'm right but most of the time I'm not.

Thanks guys!

Yes it means that a lot of what they do goes back and forth on those highways.... that's good if you live along a consistant lane

pattyj, Voltrucker and str8rida Thank this.

Some prefer it.
Mikeeeemagoo68 Thanks this. -
Its a loose term for dedicated. Like the other drivers said, it just means you go to some of the same places or use the same route frequently. Its more propaganda then anything else.
-
It means they will usually send you on the same route, a set routine. But do not be surprised when they send you someplace else, a total change.

My company has several consistent lanes.
El Paso, TX to La Mirada, CA and back
El Paso, TX to Centralia, MO and back
El Paso, TX to Southhaven, MS and back
El Paso, TX to York, PA and back.
El Paso, TX to Indianapolis, IN and back.
