The water truck that I drove on road construction looked like the one that waters your local dirt track on Saturday night.

    Heh puggles,
Chances are if the company called a temp agency looking for a water truck driver, they are not expecting someone with a whole lot of experience.
You will probably be watering new sod or putting water down for compaction. All you do is engage the PTO and decide where you want the water to go. Most water trucks have a control panel that controls which spray head is on, LF,RF,LR,RR.
Probably your biggest problem will be not getting stuck in the soft material you are driving on. Grader or roller operators get a little testy if they have to keep pulling the water truck out.
I would check with the company as you may not need a tanker endorsement if you are only driving on jobsites, and not on public highways.
    Hope this helps!

don't forget the vents!!! if you don't need to leave site always leave them open or better yet just leave the cover open you don't want to see what can happen if you try to load/unload with no vent
