Awesome. I was hoping 80' front bumper to front bumper would be enough.

Are you talking about the blue spots on the South West corner of the lot where a truck could back in and turn around? Just trying to understand.

Most of us are used to needing to put part of the trailer in "parking spot" before we straighten out to back straight into the spot. You have enough room to pull out fully or be straight in line to back in before the trailer is in the spot or "hole".

More would be better, another 5'? but that is plenty, i would say it's what we deal with at an average truck stop.

Why waste the blue area for turnaround just make it wide enough so they can turn around in midle

The width of the lot (231') is as wide as we can make it without going outside of our property lines. If we could expand the property lines we definitely would. So assuming two trucks 75' long are backed in the north and south fence line this gives a distance of 81' front bumper to front bumper. So assuming you have a truck on both sides if you, would you be able to park and pull out of a spot knowing each spot is 12' wide by 75' long.

only one of the blue spots need to be kept open to give someone the ability to turn around
Or make the blue spaces for shorter trucks like bobtails and straight trucks. You can use all the spaces that way and the trucks will still be able to turn around then.

It seems like this business model is based on the idea that there is a massive economic downturn coming and trucks will need to be stored indefinitely and few people will be coming and going.

My only complaint about the lot I park in is the gate is way too narrow and you have to press the clicker 5 or 10 times for the gate to actually open.

I pay $117 a month in West Central Florida near Tampa

Try going to those big ones and talk to them, going to a few small local ones may do it but I think you need to get out and see how they limit the accidents in a lot.

Remember that only 40% at best of drivers know how to back up without hitting anything. The other 60% are lucky.

Truck shop doors are usually 14' wide and there are many who couldn't back into one...

Now get a switcher and provide valet parking for storage and you can really pack them in...
