    Howdy All,
I have owned this truck for 6 years, driven it 80,000 miles and have NEVER had any problems with the Eaton-Fuller 18 speed Auto-Shift. Today getting ready to head south for the winter, go to start the truck, the shifter is in NEURAL but no "N" lights up in the shift tower or on the dash, what does light up is a red service light.

I pulled the battery cover, cleaned all the cable ends, covered them in dialectic grease, tightened the hold down nuts. Still no start, no crank over, no neural light in the shift tower or the dash, red service light is still lit on the shift tower.

Like I said this has never happened before, does anyone have any suggestions of what to look at or things to check? Thanks for any help you can offer, we planned to leave tomorrow morning.

    Howdy North Pole Nightmare,

Batteries are good and fully charged, I have the truck plugged into shore power when it's not being used, it has an inverter/charger that keeps the batteries up. I just had it running a couple of days ago so whatever it is it just happened. Thanks for your suggestion.

The only other thing I would try is turn the master switch off a few minutes, see if it reset's.

Thanks, I am going to disconnect the ground cable for a few minuets and see if that helps.

You have a trans fault. Need to hook up service ranger to obtain trans faults. Cycling ignition off to on a few times rapid may give flash codes thru service light in PD mode. Even when you get the code will still need to troubleshoot.

    Howdy Goodysnap,

Thanks for your reply and the link, I was really hoping this would something simple like bad battery connections but I fear it may cost a ton of money and be a lot of shop time. Just glad it happened in my driveway and not half way to Arizona.
