My side cameras get very little road spray and have as good a view as my mirrors in the rain. The rear of my trailer has terrible air currents due to its design and in a torrential downpour in the dark the camera is nearly useless. During the day it is still a viewable picture. I do very little snow/ice driving but if your tail lights are visible I would assume the camera would be useable as well.![]()
What DVR multi channel camera system options are out there that use standard video format?

Samsung Pro Endurance leads beaing rated for 43,000hrs of usage in dashcams
Sandisk High Endurance is rated for 20,000hrs of usage
Transcend High Endurance is rated for 24,000hrs of usage
Standard 'cheap' memory cards might only last 1/4 that. They are designed more for data transfer speed to accommodate computer, cell phone, and digital camera usage so have a much lower lifespan when it comes to constant rewrites on the card.
ps, 'cheap' is somewhat relative.
A 'cheap' 128gb micro sd costs around $15
A Samsung 128gb pro endurance micro sd is $30, still pretty low cost.Last edited: Sep 2, 2020

I'm also tired of buying the truck stop and amazon dash came and would like to get a system with 3 cameras and some kind of a harddrive set up that I can access with my phone or tablet.
Any suggestions? -
