OK team. I start CDL training (school) next week. I have my CDL-A permit and have taken and passed HAZMAT, submitted my background and paid the fee. I have the TWIC application filled out and will submit it as soon as the background comes back for the HAZMAT.
I have looked at every possible OTR carrier in my area (Central Virginia). I have a clean driving and criminal record. Can anyone think of anything I missed or should consider doing to make myself more appealing as a new driver out of school?
Thanks all, Max
What else can I do?

there is a CVS warehouse. "up here" Ryder has the driver contract. down there, i do not know. -
That's very helpful, Thanks -
The biggest hurdle im currently dealing with is the lack of job history over the last 3 years, some companies will balk if you cant provide one. Not everyone has my situation so I hope you got a decent job background.
Also, for a few weeks prior to any testing it cant hurt to eat healthy, and such so that your BP and things lower -
Well I do have a history that doesn't include driving. Not perfect but it should do.
Getting my foot in the door and 6 months or a year under my belt will be the hard part.
Being new to this (and the reason for this post) I just want to make sure there isn't anything that I can do now that isn't done.
