C 15 acert had 250000 miles when purchased now it has 880000, nothing done inside engine, use rotella,no additives, change every 20 thous. Use 3 gallons between oil changes, getting some serious blow by, its time...trying to get to a million before a total overhaul

2006 DD14L EGR. Delvac with 1 gal Lucas every 15k or less. Oil analysis every other change with no flags. I put in service with 36 miles, now at 981,021 with 8% idle hr's (TRI-PAK APU). Bullgear, rod/main bearings, oil p relief valve, front/rear crank seals all 30k miles ago. 3 turbos, 3 egr's, 1 vpod, 6 injectors (700xxx), 6 overheads, original head and gasket. 5.8 mpg lifetime average and pulls like a freight train with no smoke, ever (except when 1 injector went bad-changed all). She still idles smooth and runs smooth at 1400rpm.

    I have an 04 BXS ACCERT C15.

I drove it for 5 months as a company driver before I bought it in March of 2014.

It had 994k when I bought it. I have 1,212,778 mi on the odometer right now. Mechanically the truck has been flawless. Electrical, hoses, typical things to expect from a 10yr old vehicle. Most expensive repair was the ECM in June of 2014.

Bought the truck from my carrier. He was doing the oil changes/PM service every 20k mi. No idea what oil they used. Pretty sure it was the cheapest conventional oil. I've been having it done every 15k mi and using a 50/50 synthetic blend. Mainly to try to eek out as many miles as I can considering the mileage I have.

I use no oil additives. Maybe once a month I'll buy a couple bottles of injector cleaner/fuel treatment.

Carrier bought the truck with 600k mi. His records show both turbos, fan, fan clutch, radiator, Alt, air compressor rebuilt, new clutch, and I had the entire A/C system gutted and replaced before I agreed to buy it. Other then tires, new drums and brakes, new injectors last month, I really havent had to do anything major. Mechanically it been a very good truck. My theory was that by 994k mi, what ever was going to need replaced should have been done by then. For the most part I have been blessed and very lucky with this truck.

Its an 05 FL Columbia. Not the prettiest thing. But reliable as an old dog and best of all its all mine.

I have traded my truck for a few months now, I got a 2014 pete with a 500/1850 paccar engine which has turned out to be better than I thought after all the cons I read.
I will be putting full sync in it after my first oil change which by now I'm only at 35k miles.
The dealer has told me the intervals are every 40k miles!! Wow that sounds gruesome lol.
