Yeah, nothing wrong with old school and super truckers. You stay in front or pass me please. I dont mind if you want to bend the rules. I will help you if I can if your broke down. I will help you find your destination. I will help in any way I can, because that is who I am.
But please understand, I am not in diapers just because I agree with the laws and I am trying my best to follow them. -
So, Following your logic...They ought to ban all the bigbottomfeeders because they all seem to roll over in bad weather and get in stupid rearend accidents!
He's still in jail...So he's not a problem anymore.
Because your carrier won't allow you to.
What'ya gonna do? drive by at 62 MPH and ask if I'm OK as you pass me like all of the other idiots do?
They never have any intention of stopping to help but they think that if they do that stupid #### that they have earned the right to claim that they always offer help.
mustang190, volvodriver01, snowblind and 3 others Thank this. -
Blackw900???? I was not attacking you and fail to see why you ARE to me. I have been making polite observations, I am not in any way incriminating that you are as other drivers have done before me.
I merely stated that a person can learn alot from a school and any other part of life. -
I'm not attacking you either....I'm merely answering the statements that you made which I strongly disagree with.
jbatmick and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
Yeah, the "good 'ol days"..... trying to locate a pay phone to check in or get load info. No mapping software on laptop or internet. 8 hr breaks instead of 10. No 34 hr reset option. No jake brake in the truck while running gross down Cabbage. No qualcomm or cell phone to get ahold of someone when you broke down out in the middle of nowhere at 0200 in the morning. And the list goes on..... Yeah, really miss those days... NOT!
lovesthedrive and ECU51 Thank this. -
I liked 8 hrs. I especially liked splitting it. Forcing me to stop for 10 hours at some hole I don't want to be at is not restful... at all.
snowblind, jbatmick and volvodriver01 Thank this. -

Some of us old drivers still have what it takes. I am 61 soon to be 62. Still change my own tires, oil, adjust my brakes, run the overhead on the engine, and any other small repairs. Been diving since I was 15 from the farm to market. Now running regional with my own authority. Going where I want to go when I want to go. I have never had an accident and last ticket was in my 4 wheeler in 1968. I have stopped to help other drivers to change suicide wheels on the side. Helped other drivers get their load delivered. helped stranded motorist and even picked up a few hitchhikers, especially those in uniform. All drivers need to realize we only have one life so let's be careful.
