Hi,
As the title states I’m curious as to what gets written down on your DAC report and furthermore, who writes it; I’m working on trying to finish my mentorship phase for the third time and the last company I talked to told me they needed 12 months of “safe” driving experience and the reason why I emphasize “safe” is because it’s got me a bit paranoid and wondering if they know something that I don’t know, or if it’s simply me not being able to complete my mentorship for the second time and they’re not a “second chance” company.
Best regards, John
What exactly goes on your DAC report?

Either nothing or something truly damning and creates economic losses for you unless you refute it.

There are things that sometimes happen that the Bosses have never found out. Thankfully.
If they did find out it will be a few days for them to calm down before I get back to yard anyway.truckdriver31 and farmerjohn64 Thank this. -

Your employer is the one who puts any incidents/wrecks on your DAC.
I don't know wtf a mentorship is, Im guessing its training at a mega and you got fired the 1st time for some reason.Bean Jr., farmerjohn64 and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
I’ve heard of some small or midsize company using the DAC report very unscrupulous and using it as leverage to keep you driving for them. They’ll put total BS on your report if you quit and prevent you from going elsewhere. There’s no governing or system in place that requires them to prove anything. They can basically say anything they want at any time about you and there’s really nothing you can do about it. You can contest it but you’ll likely lose. The DAC system needs a good ole class action suit if you ask me. Unfortunately that’s often required for companies to perform ethically in this industry.

They have a two step process to "remove" fraudulent information. You can dispute it, and if the carrier doesn't send proof it's removed. If they do send proof you can ad your own comments.
And yes, if they fraudulently provide "proof" you can sue the carrier and win. I've seen a few cases where that has happened.
Now if it's true and you don't like it too bad.Bean Jr., Suspect Zero and truckdriver31 Thank this.
