$2.09/HR , :biggrin_25521: HOLY CRAP.!! and another $1.00/HR for broadband.

at .5 Gal/HR it's cheaper to idle my truck and kick back with the FM and a good book.

There was also a death a few years before the bankruptcy that was attributed in the system picking up carbon monoxide being picked up by the system; don't know the outcome of the lawsuit, but I kinda think this was the tip of the iceberg being pushed over. You may have to copy and paste link. Hopefully they have the problem fixed. With the price of fuel going up and up all the time, it might be a good idea sometimes, but shoot a motel maybe cheaper.

A big portion of their initial operations came from government grants. They do not generate enough cash flow to pay the help and operate and maintain all that equipment, so they went bankrupt. They are back with a slightly different organization, but with the same inherit cost problems, and now a much higher percentage of trucks have APUs and driver have thru their cell phone internet.

Its a good idea, but not implemented well. It cost more then running your truck all night. id rather run my truck then pay for that.

Also they need to pitch it to big companies and have companies pay for a per truck unlimited membership. No company driver is going to pay for it when he can idle his truck for free. If the company prepaid for idel air he might use it.

Ah Park N View. I think I still have the phone that came with it.

A while back I stopped at the Bosslepilot in Des Moines and noticed a few of those old Park N View pods were still there. Brought back memories.
