What happened to "real" restaurants at truckstops? What stops still have them?

The "Stupid progress - losers of the Decade" Award - for removing the Truck /Stop
in Bartonsville, Pennsylvania, and putting in a strip mall. Place was always packed.
Would drive there just to eat dinner, good food; old timey counter, booths, and tables type Restaurant.
Dummy's literally ran it into the ground and did no upkeep/maintenance. Then they just sold it off.
Stupid move; it was, or is, a pivotal location, and there are more trucks now than ever? Go figure.
About 90 miles either way from New York to the East, or Philadelphia to the South.
Actually had a good service area with several wide drive-thru service bays, each one was 2 trucks deep.
The only place around the Poconos that had CAT Scale, and tire machines to handle big tires.
Actually had killer meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, and good gravy. MMMMM !!!

Reason for edit: (service drive thru bays; not drive thru for food orders)
Shock Therapy and Oldironfan Thank this.

I wish I could start a truck dinner. With a drive through for trucks. And good homemade food, with local ingredients.
    Not from sysco, or Reinhardt.

Build a restaurant beside a truck stop so you don’t have to build, maintain or clean up a parking lot.

    Oldironfan Thanks this.

    I re-read my previous post, and a reply below it;
you do know that IF ever there were a "food drive thru" for trucks,
some jack-wad would stay in the line forever, and hose everything up - just like the fuel island hogs, Right?

    Shock Therapy Thanks this.

Not sure if this is considered a real truck stop?
But the kwik Trip in Mauston, WI, has been there for a while.
Dennys inside, and a bar across the street, along with a McDonald's, and Culvers, a Mexican joint. Other side if interstate has the Pilot, Wendy's, taco bell, and Chinese food.
The truck on the pole is an old Freightliner. I looked real close.

Love me some Kwik Trips. I see a iron skillet every once in awhile and they aren’t terrible.

In Wisconsin. Shouldn't there be a tree in front of the truck holding it up. Drunk monkey driver ran it up a tree? lol
