I never got why them pickup guys put a stack or stacks in the bed, guess they don't actually do any real work constitute having a truck. See it a lot in suburban areas

Its not that bad if its a diesel at least. Seen a gas pickup with stacks and that thing practically sneezed glitter.

I think they're trying to kill their drivers by carbon monoxide poisoning seems like a good way to have that happen

It's no use to route the exhaust up and away from the truck when a dpf is capturing everything anyway. Anything after the dpf is just for looks and a waste money. I honestly believe it's why these motors are lucky to get 700k before a rebuild. They spend their life eating back pressure.

Weight, and less maintenance... EGR/DPF/SCR systems, easier to work on when changing out cans. I own a weed burner, and it is easier to work on these EPA abortions without all of the extra plumbing.

No, eating soot. All of it is not burned off. Remember that on that 30,000 mile oil change. Ever wonder why that honey brown oil is instantly black in the bay when you are getting the oil changed? Soot baby, lots of soot.

Oxbow, stwik and sealevel Thank this.

Well, I'll be adding stacks to the T600 I just bought. No room in rear with the headache rack. So, on the sides it is. Right where they should be. Truck has a grass burner now.

I would leave it alone, I actually like mine. I can see the exhaust tip out my passenger side mirror. Good way to see what is going on with the motor. And like I said, when it is time to work on the emission system it is much easier without all of the extra plumbing.
