I got my Class A Cdl from a driving school but didnt get a job right away after I got it.Im wondering which companies will hire drivers with no experience and do I still have to go through their training program or do I just get a refresher from the school I went to and go show it to the company?

All this stuff is really frustrating because I dont know of too many companies that will train truck driving school grads.

You can go right now and search "Trucking Jobs" and you'll have many companies listed. There are companies that take recent CDL grads but I suggest you make a list of what you want and need out of a job and then go look. Just don't go and sign on with any company that comes along because you may not like it once you're in the cab. You've got to start your homework now and you'll get out of it as much as you put into it. If you let a recruiter do your work then you'll have to settle on what they find. To me that should only be the last resort. You don't mention your past record so if that's clean you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck.

And dont wait around most want you to have graduated within 90 days, some are 6mo. Better find something by 6mo or most likely will have to go thru training again.

i guess getting a local job at first is pretty hard to get if you dont have any experience right?

I went throught shool 3 years ago. moved to CA and came back to AZ. Paid $500 to re-test at a 3rd party location and got my license back. When i was looking for a otr company i found that evenif you have some local experience, they might send you with a trainer just to teach you the basic surviving skills for OTR. I have 5 mo in a local company and still got 250 hr with a company in my home town. I will start tomorow with my trainer. Hope it helps.
