fuzzeymateo, passingthru69 and Working Class Patriot Thank this. -
So here's an idea........This is what I do when I ran into problems like this......Somehow the computer log malfunctions in times like this and it finds itself being turned off. Totally accidental of course, computers are not perfect after all. Just tell the boss there was a malfunction and it's inaccurate.. It's worked for me several times...These things are bull crap anyway, don't be scared of a computer, after all, it was man that built it the stupid thing.

what happens if you spill coffee on it?

I went into a clock violation for 10 minutes after miscalculating backed-up traffic after a drop off. About all that happened was a phone call from Safety telling me I went into violation and that I need to keep my nose clean otherwise DOT will come down on me if they ever request my logs. Company policy is to force me OOS if I habitually violate my HOS, but that hasn't happened since.

It does not like having a fully-loaded cooler fall corner-first upon its screen. It tends to, uh....go to pieces when it happens. Don't ask how I know that, either..... -
Green-eyed Lady Thanks this.

One thing I would like to know is how to exercise your 14 hour option in bad weather.

even though I run paper. I don't as a general rule violate the HOS.
