I would not sweat it to much. You can call them in the morning and explain why you went over.
Some people wouldn't even call but I think most companies just want to notate so if they get audited they can cover their behind. I would also make a notation stating that you was trying to get to a safe haven -

You'll be put on a strict diet of bread and water for the next 7 days by your supervisor nah just kidding i wouldn't stress to much over 20 minutes i've even been pulled over by the DOT port of entry in Utah i was over by about 10 minutes on my 11 all they did is made me park up for a 8 - 10 hour break.
