What are the rules for getting you back home? Ive been told youre allowed to take the truck as far as the tanks of fuel will take you. Of course the company will make it so you cant fuel up. I just told JB to send me home and they never replied to my obc message. Whats the rules on this sort of thing?

You best pickup the phone and find out where JB wants the truck. That's about the safest way to do that. Make sure you drop off the truck where they want it.
Also will probably need authorization to move the truck from where you are now, to where you are to drop it off at. Make sure you turn it in properly, or your DAC might prohibit you getting a better job.Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
you take the truck to where the company tells you...............best case scenario...............
or you dump the rig someplace like a truckstop or at your house and make them come and get it............worse case scenario.........Trucker61016 Thanks this. -

i wouldn't believe too much about what he says..........
but hey, try it and let us know how your DAC report is after that stunt.........Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
Now we all understand how JB's drivers think!
Bro, Take the truck to JB.... Closest terminal... Or you can kiss that last check Goodbye...
As far as Dude owning it until he moves out, whatta load he gave you.
FYI: My trucks return home every night. I had a driver wanna come home from PA without telling me he was doing so. This was not really the issue.
HE allready had the shipper take 1/2 the load ans sign the bill's. At this point in my book as the owner of the truck, the LOAD belonged to the RECEIVER.
MY truck, the receiver's trailer 1/2 full of goods. The guy told them he was coming HOME and got mean with them when they said that the would call the police.
He LEFT anyways, and sure enough they called the police. I gotta call asking where the freight was. I was like , how the hell do I know!!!!!!
I called the driver, asked him to go back to PA... With the freight and he refused.
As the owner of the truck I filed a police report for unauthorized use of company equipment and this I was told ( BETTER ) happen because of what he did at the receivers.
The next day, I told him to bring me my truck or I will come get it. He said it was in the Carriers terminal. I went to go get my truck there where no keys. I called him back and he wanted his paycheck for the KEYS. I told him who had only worked for me for 2 days that HE will not get his check if I dint get my keys.
He said I'll see you in court!!!!!
I called the police which TOLD him to bring my the keys or they would go get them and charge him with theft.
The receiver had been blowing up my CELL wanting their good's all morning long. So, Dude brought me the keys I gave him his 1 day paycheck which was a check for $130.00 and he #####ed!!!!!!
He asked where his other $100.00 was. I told him YOU bought fuel for the truck with it. I've gotta Take the freight you came home with BACK to PA to settle this. And if he wanted to take me to court by all means doso.
So, moral of this REAL story...
TAKE ( JB's ) truck back or you could end up in so REAL hot water... and face legal issues. That would also make getting a jobs 4 times hard.
You would have some REAL explaining to do about that one.....
All the best,

I'd recommend you review the posts relating to CR England paying particular attention to the tale of the man who was thrown out of one of their trucks in Utah. He stopped on the side of the road, out of fuel and money, and went to sleep. Whiel he was sleeping the company called a wrecker to come and get the truck with him still in it. When he woke up, he ended up in a standoff with the police because England made claims that he was threatening the wrecker driver. he ended up arrested and the truck was towed off. There is no law I have ever heard of that provides you with any kind of "squatters rights" to a truck that you are driving that belongs to someone else.
If someone has told you otherwise and you follow their advice, you do it at your own risk. The established body of law tends to take the side of the legal owner of the vehicle over that of a hired employee.bentstrider83 and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
