After 10 yrs of city work, my first road trip. Jan 96, in a blizzard, Detroit to Newark Delaware. Light load, bald drive tires. 36” of snow, ran 80,322,30, all the back roads. At one point, I made a wrong turn, and was on a dirt road in Manaheim Pa. Got stuck in the middle of town, after 3 attempts at a hill, because kids kept bumper hitching on my ICC bumper. during rush hour. Had to direct traffic, because a woman was having a baby, while myself , and a Bobtailing were waiting for Tow Truck. Brand new Pete Tow Truck snapped a u joint. Everyone’s out, drinking, shoveling snow. Watching the Show. Finally, after a total of 2 Tow Trucks, and 1 Front end loader, I made it to Carlisle. While driving around Town square, following another Driver, to the Truckstop, Drive tires were blowing out. Total of 4 tire repairs, still made it on time. Lol. What a week, also had 2 incidents of cars coming at Me on the wrong side of the Interstate. The second time, in downtown Chicago, didn’t even phase Me. At that point nothing could.

I found a job where I was home a few times a week, and then eventually a job where I was home every day. We've never been better, now.
