Hi guys & gals, I have not been an O/O for 6 yeras because I am over in Iraq right now but things are coming to a close and I am looking at trucks again. I sold my 2002 379 with Detroit 500 and 13 speed when I came over here. I had only been an O/O for two years and the going was rough then. I am sure it is not any easier now, but I learned a few things those first few years and made mistakes I don't think I will make again, except for...... well just hard to give up a Pete 379 or a W900 or a WS 4900, these have always been the trucks I like, my Pete had a WB of 265 not very long but long enough to hurt fuel and that is sort of what this is about...... I am not looking for someone to say this truck is better than that truck..... trucks are a personal thing but I am looking for some who previously owned a large car and made a change to something that was more aerodynamic weather it be VT880, Cascadia, Prostar, whatever.... you made change maybe you also added an APU or Super singles what ever it was you dumped your big beautiful girl for something that was an easy keeper..... Did you get the results you wanted? Would you do something different? Do you miss your Ole gal...... mmmm sorry ladies didn't mean to leave any out in your case I guess its your Ole guy???? lol anyway you get what I mean probably a year before I leave hereI am looking and I would like to read O/O thoughts on what they have done right and what they have done wrong and what about the few that refuse to give up that 300" WB are you do-in OK ..... cause I still would like about 270" and 600 horses, I was thinking maybe if I just quit that Idle stuff put an APU on it maybe change some tires, I could sty with what I like. Nothing wrong with Prostars, and Cascadias I guess just I like W900's and 379's dont leave out the WS 4900 great truck.
Thanks
Ken
