Honestly if you're in and out of it several times a day, the ice is gonna melt whether you have a Yeti or Coleman or whatever. Every time you open it warm air gets in. Now if you leave it closed for the entire 5 days I'd go with one of the varieties of roto-molded coolers like Yeti and the numerous competitors that have similar products

I've meet someone who had a yetti mug and I can say those mugs are amazing. Put ice in the morning and still had ice the next day and this was in the summer. But looking at the price of the coolers online why not opt in for a actual fridge you can plug in?

I thought about making my own diy cooler out of 2 inch rigid foam simple square box 1/4 plywood exterior with the rigid foam glued to the sides and bottom. Then get a piece of that shower wall plastic and line the inside with it. Caulk the seems with food grade caulk.

Haha I hope this is a joke. Sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Plus it sounds like more work then it's worth.
