Do what the foreigners do. Pull reefer, and tie your stuff inside a bag and drop it down inside the inspection door. All you gotta do is stop, get out, go to the back, get your Reese's peanut butter cup, then quickly pull out into the travel lane in front of high speed traffic, and get on down the road. EzeePeeze and no cost.

been using the 12v coolers for yrs. with your t/s points ,I never spend more than about &50 for one. keep the fins around the fan area and they'll last about yrs or so. couple of frozen water bottles to help cool down at beginning week and your good to go. after 30 some yrs out here I've saved thousands by not eating in the t/s or buying ice every 3-4 days.

Don't use dry ice. It is co2 and can cause issues in close spaces like cabs.

Go get an Engels fridge and stop playing with ice.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

IF you seriously plan to make this job a career then the best choice is the fridge type of cooler with an actual compressor like those mentioned above. Engle and ARB are both in the "best choice" price range. Not spending money on frills and both are widely considered very, very dependable. I have both, (actually three units total), and they are solid as a rock. If you can swing it buy either brand mentioned and don't look back. You'll thank yourself years down the road.....
