Well, I’ve narrowly escaped from Florida without losing half the revenue made going down. Loading Monday to Fredericksburg Va. Just glad I didn’t have to go to Pa., NJ, or Md. Easy to get stuck in the N-S 95 corridor. Never has really paid off well for Me. I’ll escape headed west or south from Va. Unless I find a high dollar short trip to Pa. Has to pay well, to deal with the guaranteed hassle it will involve. Hammer Down, don’t waste time worrying about fuel economy. Rest is more important.

If the bulk of the available batteries (cells) are low/weak, it is risky to patch replace. Like math, electric draw pulls the best new down to meet the lowest common denominator in the series.. This logic is based on years of being around electric lift truck batteries. Good 2 yr old drops a cell or 2. Reason known, Did not water. Cap was up under a cross piece of frame and op did not shift to top off. Put in new cells.
4 cells down low and 1 reversed polarity,12 cell-24 volt Junk the 5, buy new battery with 5 year warranty. Get credit for the remaining "good cells" from your battery source. Your dealer will have someone with same battery, and it has 2 or 3 bad, Condition matches your used ? cells. He will install the ones he got from you into that battery and now has a say 80% used battery to sell.
100% battery is defined as one that will run the spec'd for forklift an 8 hr shift, recharge in 8 hrs, cool 8 hrs, and then do it again. 6 hrs?=75%.
There are lots of ops that only need 2 or 3 hours capacity per day, so a market is there.
I replaced 2 front tires on my 99 Dodge Dakota pickup, $89.00 ea from Cooper, 40K wear out, nice.
I will sell the take offs at $30 each/$50 both to use on a trailer. How/Why... 15 inch tires are hard to find, and I have 2.Dale thompson, LoSt_AgAiN, JoeyJunk and 6 others Thank this. -
