Super Sleeper. I’m reminded if a 69 Dart, 4 dr. 6 cy. Had 28k miles on it. Bought from a little old Lady who was losing her sight. $350 in 1984. I felt so guilty, gave her an extra $20 for the full tank of gas. It was like new, with a tiny bit of rust. Later found the frame rusted at a vulnerable spot on those, near the front. My friends joked the Old Lady saw Me coming. Ha ha!! It was an easy fix. Didn’t matter, I all but destroyed it in 6 mos. Had wrecked the left rear door and quarter panel, both front door windows were broken out, Drivers side from a bullet hole in the Drivers door, from an attempted Robbery while delivering Pizzas in Detroit. Wife broke the passengers side out after busting up the dashboard, during an argument while driving just minutes before I wrecked it. That Love will make you do crazy things. Good Times. Christmas Eve, lots of whiskey and other party favors. We left her families place at 1:00 am. Both 17 yrs. old, what could possibly go wrong. No one even questioned wether we were driving, different times. I sold it for $350, and moved south for a while. Had a 76 Dart, 68 Dart while in Louisiana. Came home with a mint 67 Belvedere II, with a 273. Bought for $300. Those were the days. I got home to my $300 64 Polara Convertible and my $175 66 Charger. They’re all long gone. Should have kept the Belvidere. Been looking for another every since. Just a matter of time. Wife’s just hoping I don’t go buy a $30k restored car. Easy financing. It’s tempting. I warned her 30 yrs ago, this day would come. Lol.
What if it Snows?

Since it's in the 70s today I thought I'd put on the shorts and short sleeves and wash the ol girl. I don't want dis old arn to end up broke down in the middle of some intersection.

The OM has bounced back to pretty much normal.
She was really out of it.
The human has not bounced back, and is doing his best to fend off his PTSD.
Didn't give her the insulin this morning. Dr. Dave wanna be vet MD and we'll still do outpatient sleeper procedures on humans, is betting the vet will say," This happens when trying to diet a diabetic cat."
Yea? Go bite down hard.
So I'm going to reduce her insulin tonight by a unit, after her meal.DrFlush, InTooDeep, LoSt_AgAiN and 14 others Thank this. -
I would a preferred an updated 64 or 65 Falcon/Comet station wagon. But figured those would not be available to my standards, nor get the 50 MPG I was looking for.
Was actually looking for a EV6 or Ioniq5. But they haven't imported enough yet to get one setup the way I want it. Heck I want to look at one that has the paint and interior I think I want but the dealer says it is siting on the dock waiting for a truck to drag it to them. Only 2 hours north of the auto import dock and they tell me everything is hitting a 2 week delay between it hitting the dock and getting to them. Issue with that car is it is AWD, which I do not want, I want the RWD version.LoSt_AgAiN, Rideandrepair, dwells40 and 6 others Thank this. -
