    Yes. 5.56 is a tad higher case pressure than .223 but will both shoot the same

    Same as .308 and 7.62x51

    .223 and 308 will be the most common ammo available

    Generally speaking, if your receiver is stamped .223 Remington, don't shoot 5.56 through it, but it's ok to shoot .223 Remington through a reciever stamped 5.56mm, and again, that's a general rule of thumb. The pressure difference is actually due to the difference in allowed wall thickness of the casing neck, if I remember correctly. Please correct if I'm mistaken.
