Zelenskyy hopes to draw volunteers who will "defend Ukraine and world order as part of the International Legion of Territorial Defense of Ukraine," Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Those interested in helping should seek their own countries' respective diplomatic offices, he encouraged.

This guy passed me two times yesterday afternoon on the big road. He's travelling down the middle of the road with his flashers on. I pass him when he stopped to take a piss. It was pretty obvious he was smashed. After the second time he passed me I called 911 and reported a drunk driver. Further on down the road, traffic had to stop as we approached an incident at an overpass. I saw up ahead a number of cars had stopped on the side of the road with folks all around. I got up to the "event" and the drunk had plowed into the bridge abutment. Folks were carrying him away from his truck. Honestly, I have no pity for these folks. Someone else could have easily died in the wreck.

And before anyone jumps down my throat for not having sympathy for the guy I should tell you that I had a friend and business partner who was an alcoholic. It's a terrible disease but you don't have to pick up the keys.

I won't. I admit right now, no questions asked. I sent before my first heart attack on average 3 to 4 videos of drivers yanking stupids to safety depts a month. The last one was to the Pumpkin safety dept after several minutes of trying to explain to an imbecile how to properly enter a business and not do hundreds of dollars of damage to a landscaped area. I just started recording. That person is a close friend and he told me they were calling the driver in. This was some time ago and the driver was in fact fired! According to my friend, he showed the driver my video and asked why did not listen to that man? Then he said he went on to document my experience. I was told the driver said he was the capt of that ship, not me. Several minutes later he was capt no more and was cleaning out his Orange Truck!

Yes, I obfuscated a lot of that story because my contact is still there I can't expose this person because he was violating company policy by informing me of the full story. Just to be clear. When I sent that email I was clear I did not want that driver fired. I wanted him to review that video and learn from it. From the time I retired until last summer I was doing my best to mentor young drivers. None of us walk on water and it's so important these green drivers learn how to properly handle complex situations when entering and exiting customers property. The learning curve in trucking is steep and unforgiving of mistakes. With the high turnover rate, it has been estimated that 60%+ of ALL drivers that are operating class 8 vehicles have LESS than a year's experience. This scares the crap out of me.
