The chicken bar closes early on Sunday.

I missed them by an hour......the whole store still has that marvelous hot oil smell.

I complained (politely) to the cashier, who pointed out (politely) that the early closure meant nothing for second shift to eat besides Burger King, which, according to her, "sucks".

I expressed agreement and empathy, and opted for a pre- wrapped ham and cheese.

Well, that's it. I'm playing with the idea of continuing on to the Gem City after an 8 hr break. Gnite!

 

It has been years but once in the early 80s we went to Defcon 2 and had friends serving on US aircraft carriers and everyone on the ship goes bat #### crazy on lock down and calls to stations. This was not a fun drill to go through.
