I agree with the gist of your message.
Unregulated as I was using it was in the context of no effective government stabilized pricing.
I agree there are way too many layers of regulation all along the path that the fuel supply travels.
The policies and politics are an entire can (maybe barrel?) of worms better left unopened.
What if it Snows?

I was really on the fence about the whole thing... But I just couldn't say no after they came up another dollar/hr at our meeting over breakfast. That is $3.50/hr more than I'm currently getting. They really pulled out all the stops to get me back, had the guys in power now been in power years ago I probably wouldnt have left in the first place... These two really know that quality dont come cheap, and sometimes you have to spend money to make/save money in the long run.
Them coming after me is really 2 fold I think...
1) They dont want to put some idiot in that truck that will just tear it up or wreck it.
2) They know that I have other skills, that I'm highly qualified in, that will benefit the company... Welding, fabricating, pipe fitting.
I'm also fairly certain that BOTH guys went to bat for me to corperate in order to get me the wage I got. I made quite a reputation for myself when I was there before... Corperate knows who I am, they also know that I have saved them alot of money in the past... But I'm sure that giving me a starting wage higer than what 90-95% of ALL thier other hourly employees currently make was a big pill for them to swallow.DeereRunner97, InTooDeep, kemosabi49 and 17 others Thank this. -

It will be interesting to see how it all works out at the new gig... I sat in on a safety meeting before we went to breakfast the other day. There was both an audible and visual murmur that passed amoung the employees that know me... I got the impression some were not pleased, I think some think I might be taking over some of thier duties. When I was there before I did ALOT of stuff, most of it I did well.
I'm sure I will end up being asked to take on something that will step on someones toes, but thats not up to me... If I feel I can do something better than someone else, I will. (Welding being the main thing that comes to mind, I'm almost 100% sure I can weld circles around anyone else there.) But if there is someone else better qualified, and available, I will voice my objections to doing the task.DeereRunner97, InTooDeep, stuckinthemud and 14 others Thank this. -
