    That’s insane for greens fees.

There’s a country club around here that the initiation fee is $25k.

When we first moved to Minnesota, our apartment was on a golf course and I REALLY wanted to get out and play. My cheap knock-off clubs were in storage in Florida so I went out a bought a new bag and a complete set of TaylorMade RAC irons, Driver, 3 wood and 5 wood. That was in 2003. They are still in my possession.

3 years ago I played a round with my prior boss and he kept talking about how technology has changed clubs so much and new irons will give you 10-15 yds more.

Fast forward to last year, I decided to buy new clubs. Of course, at the time all of the containers from China were being delayed and new clubs had long lead times (kind of like trucks), so I went to PXG. I ordered the day before Christmas, they shipped in 4 days via FedWrex Ground, and I received them in 5-6 days.

The irons do make a difference. Previously I could count on my 7 iron for 135-140. First time I used new 7 iron, I overshot the green by about 20 yards. I still have not used the irons enough to really know how far each will travel.

There are a few places around Memphis with stiff initiation fees as well as monthly spend requirements.

With Ford building Oval City about an hour out of the city, I know for a fact that “elite” clubs in the area are all making plans of how they will attract the high paid execs that will be moving to the region.

I won’t post a pic of myself, too many facial recognition software programs. Don’t want to give any support to prior interactions and/or mis-deeds tracking me down.

Hahah, it’s funny you mention those irons. Those are exactly what I got in the bag now. Taylor Made RAC LT’s. I want a new set of muscle back irons, just don’t like the cost. I know plenty of people that play the PXG irons. They don’t have anything bad to say about them. I’ve never hit a set, but they look good.
