It's rough so far. I've only ever driven a spread axle my entire career... plus these axles are all the way at the back of the trailer so it is even different than the van trailers I've pulled.. Just haven't found that pivot point yet... at least the new big bright led lights I installed on my headache rack lights up behind me really well. Think you may be able to see it from space.

Isn't this trailer also shorter than your spread was?....wait a minute I thought that with that trailer you supposed to set it out in the yard and bring the load to it, why you backing up??!! HAHA

Lol Yeah only backing up I've done is in truckstops. it measures out to about 46ft. So 2ft shorter than my flatbed... seems to track slower around the corners as well. I've curbed tires a couple times. Which is not good because the trailer sits so low to ground it scrapes up the trailer as well... So it moves slower around the corners and need to make wider turns, and faster when backing up..makes no sense but at Least thats been my experience so far... or I'm just delusional. eventually the light bulb will turn on in my head and I will figure it out.

Have you ever had to bump a dock where they had you slide the tandems on the van all the way back before you put it in the hole? If you haven't, then that's the reason you're having trouble with that setup. Check out a few videos on Utube that show dock setups. Essentially...you put the butt of the trailer where you want it to go.....and make the tractor do the pivoting. So plant butt...swing tractor. back in. :) I'll see if I can find any videos real quick and post links to them for you.

Found one, it's not the smoothest explanation, but the first parking explanation is the one you need to look at and imagine. :)

We are woke. The OM has decided it's time to get going. It's cold, and someone has to go get coffee. Probably me.

Truck stop has lost a grade for no hot sustenance for night / early risers.

The lady working the counter is also REALLY pissed off about something.

But still a pretty decent place.

The sewer excavation was successful— all other utilities found but not tore up— I would include a photo, but it could be used as evidence — pretty nasty undertaking — hopefully, we will be able to flush this afternoon without fear of a basement flood
