If I may I would like to add something to this comment. IF you served make dang sure you keep a copy of your DD 214 where you can get it easy. I have a key FOB that has a copy of mine as well as all my meds printed in small font inside it. Keri also has a copy of mine. However, there is also another thing you should do. Download and fill out this FORM and physically travel to the nearest VA facility and apply. Then you will have your photo taken and get this.



A few days ago I was asked why don't I move to Clarksville so Keri can keep an eye on me. Part of my answer involved the VA. In all honesty between the Richmond and Hampton VA hospitals, my care has been first-rate. It scares me to death moving and finding I might have left first-rate care only to find medical providers that don't give a #### about me. So, YES I am staying put! Oh, I might add that Keri is not happy about my decision.
