So, I ordered a new pickup last November and it came in last week. It's not the top trim package, more mid range.

I'm in our basement dicking around with a phone app provided by the manufacturer.
The pickup is out by my shop - maybe 150 feet away.

There is a button on the app that says start, which I thought was to start setting up the app. It says push and hold, so I do.

Then, the button says stop. I thinks to myself stop? What the hell do they need a stop button on the phone app. Then it dawns on me, I wonder if that started the engine?

I run upstairs and out the back door and listen. Sure enough, it's running! I push the stop button and it shuts off.

Now I'm sure this is nothing new to most of you, but I was flabbergasted.

This feature is going to make me a lazy ####### this winter, I guarantee it!

Does it also let you set the cabin temp?

Oh, just thought of this. If you set your phone down and forget it, someone could get in your truck and drive it.

It's great year round. You can make it an oven in the winter & an ice box in the summer.

For GM it should still be locked & requires the key to operate.
