The EPIC adventure began at The TA in Wheeling.

Sometime in the middle of the night the truck started shaking like 17 mofo's. Then it was like someone was spraying Blackie with a firehose.

The OM said it was a Sharknado.

Then there was a GIANT BOOM and a GIANT FLASH.

Then there was nothing. Only indigenous marker lights for as far as the eye could see.

This through a GIANT monkey in the wrench as the plan was to fuel before leaving.

So at 0500 it was still all shut down. And now the driver needs to take a #### like 4 rhinoceroses.

    REALLY BAD START.

So with less than a 1/4 tank we crept toward the on ramp, angling to block the view of those getting on the highway, whilst leaving enough room for the driver to take a #### like 4 rhinoceroses on the on ramp.

I would assume that covering the plate with an oversized banner is a violation?

Pretty bad thunder and tain in Raphine VA last night. The wind shaking the tractor woke me up, followed by the sound of heavy tain/light hail hitting the truck.

Fortunately, there was no loss of power at Smiley's, so I was able to awaken at about 0930, go in and take a rhino dump, then get some more pulled pork sammiches for breakfast.

I have arrived at the yard. It is hot af, so I'm going to have a Swiss on Rye à la Volvo, accompanied by some pretzels purchased earlier in the trip, and drive home when the sun is a bit lower in the sky.

Job interview tomorrow, then back to the Major National Brand beer factory on Thursday afternoon.

This was a ten day trip. Missus Skillet is annoyed that I'm going out again Thursday.

    Oh well..........

So we get to the shipper.

Get checked right in. Get provided with a map of the facility, and proceed to dock.

Get loaded in maybe 20 minutes.

Find our way back out, and there's an OMFG fluster cuck leading to the guard shack.

    THE COMPUTER IS DOWN!
    THE COMPUTER IS DOWN!

So sit in the fluster cuck for an hour.

Then it clouds up and the second biggest thunderstorm in the history of the world let's loose.

By the time we got our BOL's, cleared the gates, and got back to the staging area to give The OM her shot...............the driver was soaked clear through to his ###.

    So put on new duds.

Departed the facility with not too much fuel.

so far yes. requires more thinking and making sure you cross the t's and dot the i's.. but throwing chains on equipment and hitting the road beats tarping and strapping anyday.
