Good news— the other esteemed member on here pretty well complimented each other on the course today
Bad news— when we had blowups, did on the same hole and that never wins a paycheck— but there’s always tomorrow

Yesterday evening I'm coming down the hill and of course I am getting the usual wiff of burning brakes. I round a corner and there is a trailer full of dried straw with 2 guys staring at the soon to be flaming tires. I pull over grab extinguisher and head back to help. I find the idiots just looking at the smoldering tires, still hooked to said trailer. I says you think you might want to unhook from that trailer? They no understand english, I get the point across and they pull up. Tire is now no longer smoldering but is now a full on BBQ. I start spraying it and asked to grabbed theirs one dude kind of understood and said no have an extinguisher. You pulling a haywagon with no extinguisher. WTF. Get tire back to smoldering as FD shows up. I tell them that the idiots didn't have a way to put it out. FD asked me to hang out for a few to tell that to the CHP. Something tells me they were about to have a very bad night.

    Now I understand.

"...the usual whiff of burning brakes."
It sounded as though you needed to learn how to come off a hill. Obviously, your words are a reference to the many, OTHER trucks whose brakes you've smelled.

    No criticism intended.

    Way to step up.
That ####show should be left for the CHP. There's a point.

I'm still at the Love's in SC.

I whacked the snooze button a couple times, then I thought I might be "hungry sleeping".

So I'm heating my Cuban sandwich in the lunchbox oven, and having some coffee from my thermos.

I almost want to stay here the day, and drive overnight to avoid all the knuckleheads pulling their trailers back home, through all those one lane construction zones on I-77 in WV.

    Hmmmmm.......
