    I sprayed it out with brake cleaner then let it dry and use a soft brush to clean all yhe soot out. dumped all the particles and crap on the ground and the wind carried it westward towards california.. Just trying to do my part

    Try gently but firmly...
    Clamp vise grips on the top part of chain close to the sprocket. Turn nut left, v/grips will jam and hold you .
    If no go, clamp on lower part of chain and turn right, v/grips will jam and hold you.

    If neither will break it loose... and another nut is obtainable. Rig as above(with a helper) and use a sharp cold chisel against nut to jar it loose. Sometimes shock is more effective than torque. Shade tree methods....

    That is not looking to promising at all.Is that case broken? Or is it just a plate behind sprocket the holds the the countershaft bearing.
