I am having the time of my life right now laughing at Keri. She called me a few minutes ago in a panic wanting to know if I paid the minister that married them and got the signed license from him last Sunday. I assured her I did and it is stored with all her other vital documents in my safe. She has to go get it recorded Monday. Keri is also giving some thought to dropping her health insurance. I told her to be careful. I told her that military health care and military dental care are not the same thing. I know several Navy families that gave up on the Navy dental clinic and the wife and children just use civilian dentists. Even when Ricky retires she will have to pay a fee to keep her dental care. Long story short I told her to keep her dental care plan if she can. Because of her job Keri is anal about her teeth. She gets them cleaned several times a year.

Texas wind turbine disintegrates after lightning strike (nypost.com)
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

I went to get my tires rotated on the Ram this morning. The genius that did it didn’t bother to let 20 lbs out of the front and add 20 lbs to the back, so now the dashboard is squawking.

Have no issue with electric vehicles, they certainly work for a large segment of the population. Most people make short trips, to and from shopping and work locations. If memory serves me, the average round trip for most people in an urban location is less than 40 miles in a day well within the range of most electric vehicles. I have no illusions that they are “green” or whatever label they have chosen. Do they reduce the local pollution, sure. Power generation today is a lot cleaner than just 10 years ago. Still they do produce some form of pollutants. The problems that have been put out into the future is how to deal with the waste that these vehicles will produce. How do you dispose/recycle the batteries and other potentially toxic byproducts. Know some people that have cars like the prius, still has a small combustion engine as well as batteries. They have two cooling systems, one for the engine, the other for the inverter system. This coolant has to be changed/replaced. Fortunately the coolant can be mostly recycled. The batteries are a different matter. Most people replace vehicles often enough, that I think they would never really have to deal with the need to replace a battery pack. So the secondary market will have to deal with that. Could be the better method. Trade in for a new one, the dealer then does the replacement of the batteries. It certainly could be a more controlled situation. Only time will answer a lot of today’s questions.Dale thompson, JolliRoger, Cattleman84 and 6 others Thank this.
