    A lot of people don't. One of the reasons is a lack of communication. Most medical people are on a slightly different wavelength than their patient and they never seem to have enough time to address the patient's concerns. After a while you start to feel like just a part of the process and that your individuality and humanity are of little concern to those treating you.
    Don't put up with it. Never put up with it. Ask questions. Make them respond to your questions and let them know that you have concerns. Make them talk to you.
