    Oh no. I've had the eld longer than 8 days, so I can't even pull a load.

    Nah, just dont see the point of getting brand new boots when there is still a couple months of fertilizer work left in this season. Wait until thats mostly wrapped up then get a new pair before winter... By spring they will be good and broke in and less likely to absorb as much fertilizer.

    I'm pretty burnt with their nonsense. Insurance would be a few thousand more a year for my own numbers, and that's the first year. Tired of being punished for stuff that has nothing to do with me, and everyone is like " Oh well. Shucky darn."

    Any contact with them is always the same. Always like talking to the special ed class.

    Doubt it has a 4 way power divider. Those are typically only seen in trucks ordered with more off-road intentions.

    May have an axle interlock, which would just mean the tires in the air spin real fast........

    I think your covered by this.

    Q10. What must a driver do if there is an electronic logging device (ELD) malfunction?

    A10. If an ELD malfunctions, a driver must:

    1. Note the malfunction of the ELD and provide written notice of the malfunction to the motor carrier within 24 hours;
    2. Reconstruct the record of duty status (RODS) for the current 24-hour period and the previous 7 consecutive days, and record the records of duty status on graph-grid paper logs that comply with 49 CFR 395.8, unless the driver already has the records or retrieves them from the ELD; and
    • Continue to manually prepare RODS in accordance with 49 CFR 395.8 until the ELD is serviced and back in compliance. The recording of the driver’s hours of service on a paper log cannot continue for more than 8 days after the malfunction; a driver that continues to record his or her hours of service on a paper log beyond 8 days risk being placed out of service.

    • This is how they can file for an extension if it will take more than 8 days for repairs or replacement. ELD - Electronic Logging Devices

    • A motor carrier may file an ELD malfunction extension request via email by submitting the extension request to ELD-Extension@dot.gov. Include the legal name, principal place of business address and USDOT Number of the motor carrier. The extension request must include the following information:
      • The name, address, and telephone number of the motor carrier representative who will file the request;
      • The make, model, and serial number of each ELD;
      • The date and location of each ELD malfunction as reported by the driver to the carrier; and
      • A concise statement describing actions taken by the motor carrier to make a good faith effort to repair, replace, or service the ELD units, including why the carrier needs additional time beyond the 8 days provided by 49 CFR part 34.
      To request an extension from the FMCSA Division Administrator in the Field Office in your state, you may contact the office directly. FMCSA Division Administrator contact information can be found at Field Offices | FMCSA.

    Wow ! Didnt see that part. Was focused on how a fella could do something like that with the trailer. Now im just surprised he didn't dump it over on its side. Lots of talent there.
