I ordered some trucks today, the Stars with DD15 engines. But the orders can be changed for the next bit. He was really pushing that 16.
One thing about them is they always run empty half the time.

Figured I would take a look at the Sales brochures.....

The difference in displacement is only 800cc (a small motorcycle engine), the extra displacement was gained by lengthening the stroke.

In the automotive world we would go for a longer stroke if we wanted more Torque and could sacrifice a bit of red-line RPM. Since the one you are looking at is torque limited via the engine mapping I would not expect any change in drive-ability between the engines.

Unless there is an increase in resale value that is equal or greater than the price difference new there is no advantage other than bragging rights. Last I checked neither the banks nor the tax men give credits for those.

My opinion is that unless you are going to go big torque it is not worth it.

    Soooooo, preplan for tomorrow morning,
    Jacksonville, FL.

"Um, look guys. I'm as much as a Danger Dave as the rest of you, but I'm not going to Jacksonville tomorrow. I have other plans that don't include dying or swimming."
