Like me, old and slow. Same scene, except winter coat. Hand on it out of car, make safe entry, release.
Both scenarios do in reverse upon leaving.
Hammerless keep it from hanging on purse/clothing. Hammerless is not my selection for hunting, target shooting.

While driving today, a Tesla came in on the onramp. I slowed a little to give him the space to move in in front of me.
It took a little bit for him to get the hint.
I said out loud, "C'mon, step on the gas."

Only took a moment and a half for me to realize.

Couldn't help myself had to run to Reno today. Cabelas finally got some 30-30 ammo in. So since I need shells to reload I got 100 rounds. Great to go for a drive too.
