28 degrees in Gem City right now (2pm).

    Coldest it's been this month.

I woke up in my t-shirt and shorts, and have added house slippers and a sweatshirt.

It doesn't look too breezy outside, based on a through-the-window observation.

I'm NOT gonna open the door for verification......BUT there's not much of a breeze blowing through the cutlery drawer today.

This house is "indifferently insulated", to say the least.

I have a sick sense of humor and get a good laugh at the Tesla people trying to use the chargers at the Tumwater P-lot. About half the car parking spots are equipped with Tesla chargers.

Typically a portion are in use by RVers/homeless and the remaining open ones are in use. Then some special case shows up ranting to a manger about how they can't park and charge. Managers tell them to just park and wait there turn just like all the people before them did. Heard one of the women that works there tell one of the extra special cases to use a parking spot cause if they blocked the travel lanes or drive in they would be towed.

It's about the only place that I know of that fills up all the chargers.

I just had a young girl almost bring me to tears. Keri left early this morning headed to Charlotte to work. The Son In Law is in Norfolk on his way here. I was sitting listening to some music when I heard a light tap at my door. I opened it to see a young girl handing me a wrapped package. As I took it from her I noticed her grandmother standing about 10 feet away. She said Thank you for your service Mr (Redacted). I took the package and thanked her. Then her granny said they are baked with Nutrasweet, I know you are a diabetic. Gut punch time, I will have a cookie tonight after dinner.
