    That would be called a "welt"... And no on I dont use a welt on pancake style cases unless the item is very thick. I oversize the width and a little on the length to allow the leather to lift up to shape around the item. For a perfect fit the inside of the case is moistened a little with water then allowed to dry with the item inside (water sensitive items must be wrapped well in saran wrap or a plastic bag for this process).

    Apparently in our house softball clinic is a priority and worth risking lives on the bad roads. These broads have turned into monsters since I went back on the road.

    . That caused a flood of nostalgia, flattop W900 speakers blaring stick against the dash hummin Cummins screaming about 2300 rpm praying nobody would step into the left lane.

    Power plant just turned on the backup generators. They have 4 of em. They ran for three days straight the last big cold snap we had.
    Current temp is Aught.

    Temperatures are only in the single digits here now we seem to have escaped the worst of the vortex. Currently 8 degrees not supposed to get any lower tonight. Windy like Wyoming is the main nuisance the snow totals are way short of predictions.
