There was. and some unknowledgeable person chimed in that probably not. The were hard to sharpen and didn't really cut well or didn't hold an edge, and comments along that line. Probably had one to fail on him and had to go buy a shotgun. Tell that to a Marine who has had to depend on one.

Not sharp on pipe size, but I ran a many a mile in 56/57 across W. TX, NM, and in AZ with J.H. Rose rigs hauling drill stem to CA. 26? Whites, 200 Hall Scotts, 5 and 3 ways, dragging 32' flatbeds. Load would look like 1 layer on floor with a second layer lying in v's of the floor layer. I always thought, why could not I have had loads like that in my days of bale cotton and livestock on US 78 across AL/GA. Low lying and hold you down in the curves...

 

Probably cursed with insomnia. Can't sleep, no one else sleeps..Oughta drive a day cab long haul, get it cured right off..
