There're some trucks you just don't get in.

    It is the odds.
    1. I learned to swim while sinking in a farm lake, 2 other guys in the crowd could and got me up.
    2. Rolled an 8N Ford tractor with the belly sickle mower into a dry creek. Got too close-caved. rolled in, cutter bar bent and sprung back-I left.
    3. Stepped over a log squirrel hunting, rattler rattled, I jumped, Mr John Sanders behind me 12 ga the rattler, blew splinters in my jeans. Close.
    4. Indianola, MS, US49 N in 18' reefer bob truck for route delivery. Old man came speeding down toward us, either he could plow into a
state dump truck crew working asphalt joint in concrete road, go to his right in ditch, or come toward me. Elected me, took the reefer unit out from
under the D side body where a side tank would mount and blew out the outside rear tire. This, after his right side had knocked one of the workers into the air compressor they were using and killed him. His family sued Bryan Bros, MS State Highway Dept, and"ME"' (I got cleared.)
    5. Rolled a 195 IH with 70 Hi Density bales of cotton into left side of street ditch in Henderson TN. Just filled 120 of gas 50 miles back in Jackson, TN.
leaking gas, running down under trailer. Big cotton compress 20 feet from top of my load in ditch. Crawled out P side window. Hand brake lever scotched my SK 80 lb tool box in P side floor from dropping down on me.
    6. Going north on US51, just north of IL3 intersection. Road newly surfaced and had been raining and road wet.. My fifth wheel had been pulled up close to scale a fixed tandem reefer, but I had an empty cattle trailer. Caught a Merc car with two women toddling along. All slow motion... Eased over the center (very slight crown I learned soon) gently past them and went way past, eased back across and felt my butt slide away. Steered, groped, grabbing the hand valve, jerked it down and knocked back off, and it jerked straight. 195 IH, day cab. I had jackknifed enough for the trailer to bend the left corner of the cab behind my seat in so the door wouldn't open. I swear to you, in all this reflex to get control. I remember seeing two things: the fresh pine shavings bedding the trailer, floor and at some point seeing the speedometer needle on 30 MPH. Reflex from advice I had heard and a blessing from GOD. That was my 1st and only jackknife.
Have slid and had some controlled/recoveries on snow/ice, but never a fold up like that. (Went on to St Charles, Il.. Loaded and returned to Sturgis,MS with stuck door. In and out P side)
    7. Some other minor events over the years, but not as close. Was not near as agile as was at first.

Stack chanting; "Chippy get your haircut" and "trailer tires singing graveyard bound." That's trucking.

Oh, and then you have two navels. The one you were born with and the vey similar one where the "valve stem" was.
Unique identifiers if I should be murdered and somewhat desecrated. Better than "tats", don't fade....

I think you can do a 90 day card on a recurring basis........my 400 lb trainer at Millis did it.
    Good luck and best wishes.
