Play poker. You’ve earned it. Well, not the last few months. But all that time before.

They are. I guess I should have been more specific. Was thinking more like Broccoli and that type of thing.

Yup. Some of our newer and younger game wardens are a little scary. We used to take good road kill to the tribal jail. The guys were always glad to see it, knew how to do it up, and it was a good break from the sawdust-burgers and fish sticks that come in twenty five pound blocks.
We can't do that any more. Some cry baby told their lawyer and that was all it took.
I got in trouble last year for shooting a bear that had been hit by a car. He was pretty much done for but there was need for him to suffer. The C HP officer had to get permission from his office, who had to get permission from the wardens office. It was taking forever. I just got my 30/30 from behind the seat and shot the bear. It sure made the CHP officer mad.
The warden never did show up or call back with permission to shoot. I got cited for "improper use of a firearm" and "use of a firearm in a situation restricted by game law". The CHP guy was new to the area and I don't think he'd ever seen a real bear. I told him to go ahead and write because the judge would throw it out anyway. That's exactly what happened.

I shot a deer that was laying and suffering in someone’s front yard. I was 17 or so. The homeowner and the car that hit it got upset with me. Then wanted me to remove it. Told them to call the state and not hold their breath. Also told them it was pretty crappy of them to want the deer to suffer while they figured out what to do by doing nothing.

It doesn't matter what food group something belongs in, it only matters how it identifies.

Have you been under your truck for the last 2 years or what?

There's a bug officially classified by THE COMMUNIST STATE as a fish.

So all is fair now in The OM's book.
