Having a ranger tab doesn’t make him a ranger. The CIB means more than the tab does.

 

I’m sure the new crop of drivers are talented but it’s not stock car racing anymore it’s just the same cars with different stickers. Drag racing is much more interesting imho.

 

You know, honestly ITD, in the Army if you’re going to progress beyond Major, you have to get some stuff to hang on your uniform. Doesn't make anyone a hero, just means you passed the course.
If you sport Airborne patches, it simply means you were attached to an Airborne unit under fire.....with jump wings.
To get jump wings, you have to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft 3 times.

I'm not knocking the dudes credentials; Lord knows he did a lot more than me.
But what I would say is that you need to be careful when you assign the label of 'hero' to anyone.
The Ring Knockers know which path to follow. Doesn't make them better than you or i.
