That is most likely closer to the truth than any media will put forward.

I foresee a high percentage of the sales from those stores moving to another of their many stores in the area. The exception being the customers buying food in the hood location, there is a WinCo discount chain store just up the street. That would have sucked out a bunch of sales from the WM. Could have cost that store it's corporate profitability status.

There is a point where the lease exit/buyout costs become less than the long term value of continuing to operate the store.
