Hot Dogs, whats your brand? Nathans, Ball park, Oscar Mayer? Or some regional?
Condiments, whats your favorite? Do Corn Dogs count as a hot dog or are they a sub group? Enquiring minds want to know.dwells40, Dale thompson, tramm01 and 7 others Thank this. -
@tramm01
Tooling complete.
After I let it sit and dry for a few hours I will pull the blue painters tape backing off and finish assembly. Then all that will be left is edge and finish work.dwells40, IH Truck Guy, JolliRoger and 13 others Thank this. -
I like Sabrett's, but I can't find them outside of the northeast.
My alternate brand if I was buying them for myself would be Hebrew National.
If I go to a cookout, I'll usually have ONE, and I take whatever they got.
Brown mustard. I also like a chili cheese dawg every so often.
I'm actually more of a bratwurst guy.dwells40, JolliRoger, Dale thompson and 8 others Thank this. -
In South GA we do mostly sausage dogs. You can either get the national / regional stuff, or you can get fresh at any number of places.
As far as hot dogs go, it's either Nathan's or Oscar Meyer.Dale thompson, tramm01, homeskillet and 2 others Thank this. -
As a special activity for the spring forward time warp into the Daylight Savings Plan, we had a very nice brunch here at the house. Was quite good. Sorry, no pictures this time. Was too busy eating.

If you put any type of sausage in a bun, is that in the same food group as a “hot dog”?dwells40, Dale thompson, InTooDeep and 3 others Thank this. -

About the only manufacturing group that kept doing center mounts on production cars after WWII where the British. Their tooling wasn't destroyed and production numbers were too low to justify changing over tooling, so they ran what they had. They mostly changed over to lugs with nuts in the '50s and '60s.
It was a practice originating back with the old wooden wheel cars. The early cars basically had a big nut threaded onto the wheel hub to hold the center of the wheel on the car. They did not necessarily have a drive system, aka "lug", to keep the "rim" from spinning on the hub. If the rim started to slip on the hub because the drive lug broke, with the threads the correct way there was a slight chance the rim would tighten back down under braking. If they were not the correct way the wheel was probably going to fly off as soon as the brakes where used. It's why most cars have a split pin on the front hub wheel bearing, it helps to keep the wheels on and the bearings at the correct preload. Also the reasons that the modern single nut "race cars" put a lock pin on after the wheels are set.
At some point, early 1920s?, some clever person figure out that if they put on multiple drive lugs and threaded them to take a nut it would be a better/safer system. With this mounting system the Lugs and Nuts receive no significant benefit from left hand threads.dwells40, JolliRoger, Dale thompson and 5 others Thank this. -
Costco Kirkland brand Hot Dogs and Hebrew National, just mustard sometimes with onions and non-sweet dill relish aka chopped pickles. Corn Dogs and a cold beer are proof that God loves us. Never had a corn dog habit till someone posted a picture of a few, here on WIIS with a lot of mustard.austinmike, dwells40, Dale thompson and 5 others Thank this.
